At Christian Day Schools, nothing excites us nearly as much as watching the hand of God reach the unreachable, the hand of God go beyond the confines of the imagination of mere man, and watching the winds of revival blow again. That is precisely what we have found: a revival amongst the youth. It is not an uncommon thing to enter into Churches only to see them void of the youth, who have too often found something that they have deemed ‘more important’ than the religion of their parents or grandparents; however, at the House of Prayer Youth Ministry we have found the opposite, it is the young fighting for the young, and in many cases, fanning the flames that have gone out even in there parents!
The House of Prayer Youth Ministry is not your ordinary ‘youth group’; it is an outreach by the youth for the youth. It is a Youth Service with Youth Pastors preaching the Word of God with passion and fire! The Pastors are young men who have grown up in the House of God and withstood the call of the world; they have made their decision, their minds are made up, and they are fighting for the youth of America and the world. The Bible declares in Psalms 127:3 (NIV), “Children are a heritage from the LORD, offspring a reward from him.” These youth are a living example of the heritage of the Lord; they have overcome the pressures of life and show that they are a “letter from Christ” (2 Corinthians 3:3 NIV) to the teenagers of the world.
These Youth Pastors and the teenagers and young adults of HOPCC Youth Ministry who have banded together to serve God have even established a Teen and Young Adult Prayer Line, a toll-free line that they utilize to spread the Word of God and the power of prayer to the youth of the world. Often, the teens of the world feel as if they have nowhere to go and nowhere to turn. Now, there is a number to call, and the cry of their heart can be heard. Whether it is just a need for encouragement, a scripture shared, or even an urgent need for prayer, the line will be answered, and the help is now there!
This wonderful House of Prayer Youth Ministry, its prayer line, and the example that it shows as young men and women who have grown up in Church and are serving God are a breath of hope and a hand of help to the teens of America and the world. The revival has started, the youth are turning back to God, and this group of teenagers and young adults is leading the way!
